Who was DNP? the question remains

DNP is a hip hop group consist of 4 members from Mariveni in Tzaneen, the group was formed in 1994 with 8 members, where other members quitted and the strong members remained and they started recording professionally in 2010 and persevering in the hip hop game is what kept us going ‘’says OjayQ, he also added by saying ‘’RIP to our former members Baju and Sponono we will always miss you guys and love you and just know that we will keep pushing until we make it where we always dreamt of, we will make you proud guys’’. The best producer we ever worked with is DJ Wezz and Vijo Man. DNP is not only a hip hop group but it’s a family, we always look out for each other and nobody is better than anyone ‘’says the group, they also told Hash Tag Malwela News that they are currently working on their new album and they still want to make more impact in hip hop.

Where do you see DNP in the future?

We want to dominate the hip hop industry as a hip hop group, as we represent Mariveni we also want to take Xitsonga Hip Hop genre to another level.

Losing a member

We try to deal with it and as they say ‘’time heals’’ we are still recovering even today, and we will always miss them and the Group is no longer the same without them, but we have to show the characteristics of leaders and be strong and carry on.  The more challenges we face the more hits we make.

DNP’s Dream

Is to make every DNP fan to be very proud and let everybody out there that nothing is impossible. We want to dominate the hip hop industry from Mariveni to all over the country.
