GIYANI- Tsakane Grace Hlangwana best known as Lady Tee the artist, the talented mother of two is also chef, MC, event planner, business woman and a student at Mopani Tvet College.
The multi-talented artist from Relela village has been in the music industry for over ten years, releasing over 20 songs since 2007.
Lady Tee has worked with musicians like Dj Lenzo, Dj Sunco & Sunco vision family, Janisto, Mdziri Calvin the General & Pitoza, Maelo the producer, Priyo the Dj, Jonico & Jack Mojapelo and Dj Raster, she also worked with King Monada as his MC.
Currently working with Con the Dj and Dj Giggs of Limpopo ke gae who produced her latest hit single “yena aya kwihi” inspired by social media sensation Boti Ma-July
Tsakane says she has started singing at church and when she started recording, it was nothing serious until people at her village told her that she has a great singing voice and that they love her music “ I thought to myself that maybe music is what I should be doing” she said
2011 November Lady Tee released her most memorable song called “xihoxo” which she worked with Maelo the producer and Janisto,
She explained that she was 19 years old and pregnant with her first born “ I had so much regrets when recording the song, I guess I was singing the pain out” she explained
Lady Tee says her latest hit record “yena aya kwihi” inspired by Bambeni’s social media sensation Boti Ma-July is doing wonders and the song is also featured on some of the local radio stations top 30 in Limpopo “it is one of my songs that people love because of how the “yena aya kwihi?” phrase was trending, the song was done in Seshego, I worked with Con the Dj and High Cosco on the song” she said. “Fans are dying to see the music video” she said
“I’m working on some collaboration with various artists and producers, some of the songs will be out by month end” she explained what her fans can look out for in 2018
The talented mother of two explains how she was discovered and signed under the management of Remember Khosa’s R Bee Promotion. “He discovered my talent six years ago but I only started working with him last year” she explains. Lady Tee says she got her first big break when she was booked for big events like Bolobedu Get Together (BTG) in 2015 and Phangweni Vibes 2017.
Lady Tee is also a well-known chef and she is currently busy working on opening her first business Grace Tee Platters “I want my fans to know that I am a great cooker, that is something that they won’t get through my music” she explains.
Lady Tee says she would love to work with Lady Zamar, Prince Kaybee, Heavy Kay, Dj Ganyani and Micasa because their music inspires her, brings life and peace in her soul.
Lady explain how she would like to attain success and long-term goals in music industry. “Stay humble, work hard, learn new things in the industry, listen and support other musicians, and let my fans speak their mind and take some of their advice. I would really like to hear my music playing in every radio station in the country and I would really like to get nominated for the South African Music Awards (SAMA Awards).”
